Since July 1st 2007 the Dutch company VEM Metallurgie bv takes over distribution and service for Hegewald & Peschke GmbH in Benelux. VEM Metallurgie has its principal office in Ede nearby Amsterdam and has a long experience in the field of materials testing. VEM Metallurgie possesses a demonstration laboratory in its new company building. A well-organised spare parts and accessories repository guarantees continued availability of testing technology for our customers in Benelux.

Retrofitting of testing machines at company Stankiewicz GmbH in Celle

The Stankiewicz GmbH in Celle is a producer of plastics articles e.g. for the automobile industry. The Stankiewicz GmbH instructed us to retrofit two 10 kN-Hounsfield testing machines and another materials testing machine. The machines were equipped with new digital controllers and our materials testing software LabMaster. Furthermore, existing laser-extensometers were integrated into the testing software.

Hydraulic materials testing machine 1000 kN

In September Hegewald & Peschke GmbH delivered a hydraulic materials testing machine 1000 kN to a Russian customer. This machine will be used in the laboratory of a well-known steel producer. The machine is designed with two work spaces which can be set-up according to the task with a motor-driven central crosshead. A fully-automatic long distance extensometer completes the testing system.

Dynamic component testing machine

Hegewald & Peschke GmbH designed a family of dynamic testing machines up to 50kN for endurance testing of components. The high efficiency of these material testing machines is based on low-friction hydraulic testing cylinders with integrated position measuring system and directly coupled control valve. By selection of this kind of cylinder secure testing is still possible with millions of load alternations. The included T-slot plate ensures optimal fastening of many different components. The upper crosshead with the loading cylinder is height-adjustable with the help of a crank handle and is clamped manually in testing position. Depending on the installed testing equipment and the necessary frequencies the load cell can be fixed directly to the cylinder or onto the T-slot plate.

Material testing software Labmaster- new development

Our material testing software Labmaster has been constantly developed and adjusted to the customer needs. The new Modul Formeleditor allows the user the development of own formulas and computation regulations.

With the examination of construction units the module videoaufzeichnung allows a detailed estimate of the material behavior over the time-synchronous allocation from video sequences to the measuring channels. The module Blockprogrammscript realizes the production of complex test sequences outside of our material inspection software lab master with the help of a simple, user-friendly programming language. Thus an automation and a standardization of most different test sequences can be achieved in the laboratory

The Tiltingtest according DIN 68878/1 – new development

The tilting test is of capital importance for the evaluation of the stability and durability of welded connections at tubular frames of chairs with four legs. Thus, the results of the tilting test have a direct influence on the dimension of the chair and convey a certain meaning in many companies to maintain high quality standards.

Especially for the performance of tilting tests at chairs according DIN 68878/1 we have developed a new test stand, controlled by a SPS unit, additionally containing a device, which aborts the test after specimen breakage and counts the performed cycles. The breakage of the specimen gets detected when the cylinder (actuator) deploys, but the adjusted height of stroke (normal case 3 mm) is arrived. The therefore especially developed initiator (light barrier) can be switched on and off. A random seek of the fastening unit for the chairs at the base allows the fast and unproblematic attachment of several types of chairs. A frame construct with shock-absorbing feet and a base according DIN 68878/1 provides together with angle-adjustable pneumatic cylinders with integrated clamp-connections for the load pads the basis of the test stand.

In order to allow the testing according standards special loading pads of 200 mm x 250 mm will be applied for the tilting test forwards and backwards, respectively, and a special prism-shaped loading pad for the tilting test sideways. As optional accessories we can deliver a weight sack and weight bags according the standards.

Opening of the new distribution- and service branch in South Germany

In Mai 2007 the company Hegewald & Peschke GmbH opened a new branch in Ulm (Germany). In the future our customers in South Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be service- and marketing-technically assisted from Ulm. Our new branch in south Germany also has its own application laboratory.

Test bench for the Keiper GmbH & Co. KG in Remscheid

The company Keiper GmbH & Co KG in Remscheid is developing and producing innovative Vehicle seating components and structures. Hegewald & Peschke GmbH supplied an extended 100 kN Universal testing machine with a testing speed of 2000 mm/min.

This testing machine is fixed on a test field and can test seat structures present over force returning systems outside of the actual inspection room. A special transfer-Labmastermodul realizes the automatic control of the universal test equipment from the Keiper software.

Forging Works Gröditz GmbH extends their testing capacity

Due to the fact of the increased amount of samples the company Forging Works Gröditz GmbH extended their material testing laboratory with a 250 kN universal testing machine Inspekt from Hegewald & Peschke GmbH and with a warm tension test equipment up to 900°C.

In addition the existing hydraulic 500 kN testing machine was modernized with a new control and the testing software lab master.

Hardness test bench for the Siepmann Works GmbH & Co KG

The company Siepmann Works GmbH & CO KG in Warstein assigned us a special hardness testing bench for Brinell examinations on large construction units.

The portal hardness tester realizes continuous test loads up to 3000 kp (29.419 kN). The measurement of the impression takes place with a transportable evaluation system.

Supply of a friction test stand to the HTW Dresden

In January 2007 the Hegewald & Peschke GmbH supplied a friction test stand to the University of Technology and Economics Dresden.

With this test set-up the frictional behavior of different combinations of materials can be evaluated qualitatively and quantitatively.

An integrated climatic unit permits the determination of values under conditions in line with a standard usage.
