New Computest SC

With the new developed hardness tester Computest SC the company ERNST continuous their long standing tradition of producing portable hardness testers. The device replaces the established hardness tester Computest and offers an optimized ease of use with the same metering precision.

The hardness tester Computest SC will be presented ergonomically designed and with an 80 x 30 mm increased digital display. The correct applying of pre-force and main-force will be electronically monitored thereby influences of users will be also reduced.

The Computest SC will be offered with the following scales: Rockwell C, Rockwell B, Vickers HV5 and Brinell HB/30. Optional a number of other scales can be programmed.

new fast wedge clamping fixture up to 250 kN

According to the growing demand we have developed a new universal wedge clamping fixture.
Special features are the high ease of use hohe, little weight and wide range of expandability e.g. by coupler adjustments, test pieces and so on.

The Flood

In spite of the century flood, which cost us one week of production time, most delivery dates were met.

Our special thanks go to the people of Castrop-Rauxel and our representative there, Mr. Biehl. Together with the local Rotary Club, Mr. Biehl organized an unprecedented support action for the Nossen people who were hit by the flood very hard.
As a result, two trailer loads of aid materials were handed over to the flood victims.

Testing machine for components delivered to Karlsruhe University

On August 14, 2002 a 400-kN-testing machine for components was delivered to the University of Karlsruhe's.
The machine has a testing height of 5400mm and has an amount of 3 test benches.

Creation of a demonstration lab in Western Germany

In July, 2002 an application lab was set up in Castrop-Rauxel. An inspekt 50 kN universal testing machine and various hardness testers are available to our customers there.

In 2003, we plan to develop the lab into our service station for Western Germany .

Taking over the sole agency for ERNST- hardness testers in Germany

On May 1, 2002 we took over the sole agency for Ernst hardness testers in Germany from DORERNST, Munich.

The entire staff, the distribution network and the Munich offices of DORERNST have successfully been integrated into Hegewald and Peschke.

ERNST hardness testers are distributed in 30 countries worldwide. The label ERNST stands for 40 years of experience in research, design, development and manufacture of hardness testers meeting the highest quality standards.

By taking over the representation of ERNST, the product range of Hegewald & Peschke Meß- und testing technology Ltd. has been considerably expanded in destructive and non-destructive material testing.

ISO 9001 Certification

An intermediate audit was carried out by TUV Rheinland on February 26, 2002.

The certificate was extended to 2003 without any complaints.

Close cooperation with Franz Wohl & Partner Prüfmaschinen Ltd., Schalkau

A cooperation between Franz Wohl & Partner Ltd., Schalkau, Thuringia, and Hegewald & Peschke Ltd. was set up in early 2002.

For more than 10 years, Franz Wohl & Partner has acquired a name as a reliable servicing company for universal testing machines and hardness testers, with special emphasis on the servicing and maintenance of electromechanical testing machines.

Hegewald & Peschke uses the great experience of this company in servicing and supplying mechanical parts. In return, Hegewald & Peschke supports Wohl & Partner in the upgrading of testing machines and hardness testers.

Wohl & Partner also sells H & P products, particularly the testing machines inspekt mini, inspekt , and inspekt.

Special testing machine supplied to Siemens

In late 2002, a special testing machine was successfully installed at the Siemens plant in Redwitz.

This machine is a lying 600-kN ensile/compressive testing machine of approx. 10 m length used to test the fracturing load of ceramic insulators.
