Load frames

Load frames are available for 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 400, 500 and 600 kN capacity. The frame arms are driven by an AC servomotor via two spindles (up to 300 kN ball race spindles, over 300 kN roll thread spindles).

The digitally controlled drive of the inspekt series guarantees:

  • exact, reproducible positioning
  • large continuous speed range
  • implementation of extremely small moving speeds

The spindle bearings and nuts are pre-stressed and guarantee highly dynamic force transfer and control by rolling friction. The driving spindles are protected against fouling by bellows. Additionally, the arms are supported by two or four strong guide columns to provide high transversal stiffness.

Force measurement

Force measurement is conducted by a strain gauge dynamometer.

The measurement electronics provide Class 1 (optionally Class 0.5) accuracy acc. to DIN EN ISO 7500 in the range between 0.4 and 100 % nominal load.

All load cells are equipped with sensor plugs guaranteeing the automatic recognition of adjustment and calibration parameters.

Manual control

The manual control allows to carry out fundamental operations as well as the machine setup:
  • up. down, return
  • manual fine positioning
  • force-distance calibration
  • test start
  • opening and closing of fixtures and extensometers

All these functions can be controlled by the software as well.

Measurement and Control System

The measurement and control system of the inspekt series has been specially designed for material testing machines. The control system of the inspekt series allows force, distance and extension controlled tests. Communication with the PC is conducted through an RS-232 interface. The control system is supplied in the following standard configuration:

  • force measurement channel
  • arm travel measurement channel
  • extension bus for 7 additional data collection cards
  • 16-key manual control
  • RS- 232 PC interface

The entire control system is enclosed in a control container for protection against external influences.

The following extension cards are available:

  • data collection card for analogue extensometers and additional load cells, as well as +/- 10 V input for external measurement devices
  • data collection card for incremental extensometers
  • I/O card for external devices control such as pneumatic or hydraulic fixtures
  • analogue output for force and strain signal

The control system can easily be upgraded with the relevant extension cards if required.

Special load units, Special solutions

The machines of the inspekt series can individually be adapted to the customer's testing requirements. The measurement and control system of the inspekt series allows to use:

  • widened and lengthened test frames
  • two-space testing machines
  • automated testing systems and systems integrated in production lines with the related software solutions.
