The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Stralsund University of Applied Sciences has again purchased a testing machine from Hegewald & Peschke. After the university commissioned Hegewald & Peschke Mess- und Prüftechnik GmbH to retrofit an older testing machine model with modern material testing software from Hegewald & Peschke for the first time in 2011, it has modernised its entire testing laboratory over the course of the years and has repeatedly resorted to testing technology from Hegewald & Peschke. The new inspekt 100kN universal testing machine has now been purchased from TIRA as a replacement for an old universal testing machine. It was equipped for tensile, compression and bending tests on metallic materials. Since the testing machine is used for training purposes, the demands on modern testing technology are correspondingly high.
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences has several well-equipped laboratories for practical, applied teaching and research, with a focus on the automotive industry as well as environmental and energy technology. The faculty's internationally oriented research projects are supported by collaborations with companies from various industries.
