Hegewald & Peschke has supplied a component test stand for cable pull circuits to a large German car manufacturer. It was developed especially for this application - vertical and horizontal testing of wire rope pulls for manual transmissions.
With the test stand, various component tests are possible: On the one hand, the efficiency in the direction of switching is tested. Thus the shifting into different gears is simulated. On the other hand, compression tests are carried out on the shift lever to determine the actuation travel for unlocking the locking mechanism.
The tests are evaluated using the LabMaster test software. With LabMaster, in combination with the component test bench, further tests are conceivable, such as limit load tests, travel play measurements in shifting and selection direction as well as determination of inherent friction.
The test stand was manufactured as a mobile complete test stand for assembly as well as a mobile portal portable in two cases for the development area.
