The Liebherr plant in Ehingen is the world market leader in the field of mobile and crawler crane construction. To optimise functionality and safety, the Liebherr plant in Ehingen invests heavily in research and development. Liebherr also uses testing technology from Hegewald & Peschke. For example, a testing system consisting of an inspekt 1200 kN universal testing machine, a hydraulic fixture, an MFX200 long-travel extensometer, LabMaster materials testing software and various specimen clamping plates was recently delivered to the Liebherr plant in Ehingen.
With this testing system, metal tensile tests according to DIN 50125 and DIN EN ISO 6892-1 as well as tensile tests on whole tubes of different lengths can be performed. In addition, tensile tests can be carried out on thread and shoulder specimens of different dimensions. Depending on the screw length, which varies between 80 and 300 mm, the appropriate accessories are used.
