ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt is a traditional steel company with a special history. In the early 1950s, Eisenhüttenkombinat Ost, a pig iron plant with six blast furnaces, was established on the German-Polish border. Today, ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt is an integrated steel mill with modern facilities and technologies.
ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt's customers include well-known companies in the automotive, household appliance and construction industries. One important sales area is the automotive industry. High-quality, surface-coated body panels from Eisenhüttenstadt can now be found in many car brands.
ArcelorMittal has now acquired a measuring device for determining the transverse thickness profile of sheet strips up to 1,800 mm long used in the automotive industry. This device is suitable for semi-automated measurement of the transverse thickness profile of sheet metal strips. It has a measuring carriage driven by an electric motor. Attached to this is a measuring bridge with two pneumatically driven probes arranged opposite each other, which measure the thickness of the specimen using the addition method. A workpiece fixture enables simple and positionally accurate manual insertion and fixing of the specimens.
A PC with configurable measuring and evaluation software, such as LabMaster, serves as the operating interface. This is where specimen-specific data are entered, the measurement series are parameterized, and the measurement data are stored and output.
