In addition to visits to sales partners and customers, the focus was particularly on two events: a technical seminar on materials testing and participation in the international trade fair CHINAPLAS.
Technical Seminar on Materials Testing in Shanghai
The event kicked off with a successful seminar titled “Tensile Testing of Plastics and Composite Materials and Rheological Analysis”. Two technical presentations covered key aspects of tensile testing on plastics and fiber-reinforced composites, as well as rheological relationships.
The seminar was complemented by a practical live demonstration on the inspekt solo universal testing machine, during which participants gained direct insight into the application of modern testing technology. The intensive exchange underscored the need for reliable testing technology in the international arena.
Trade Show Presence at CHINAPLAS 2026
Another highlight of the trip was participation in CHINAPLAS, held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center. As one of the world’s leading trade fairs for plastics and rubber, it offers an ideal platform for innovation, networking, and market development.
Together with our Chinese sales partner ESUM, we presented our universal testing machine inspekt duo 10 kN at a joint booth; this machine is particularly well-suited for a wide range of applications in plastics testing. With over 4,600 exhibitors and an international trade audience, the trade show offered excellent opportunities for interaction with existing and potential customers.
Focus on Growth in the Chinese Market
The trip clearly demonstrates our strategic direction: Hegewald & Peschke is further expanding its international activities and is specifically focusing on growth in key future markets. Through a combination of technical expertise, practical demonstrations, and personal interaction, we are strengthening our position as a provider of high-quality testing technology in the global marketplace.
