With Calmar pro.2, Hegewald & Peschke offers a universal, decentralized, modular control and regulation concept for dynamic and static component and furniture testing. Maximum control precision is combined with maximum flexibility and ease of use—ideal for simple endurance tests and complex testing applications in industry, research, and quality assurance.
History:
The Calmar pro system was developed in the 1990s and has been delivered over 100 times worldwide. Up to 5 pneumatic test axes could be operated with the CalMaster test software and used flexibly in several single- and multi-axis test tasks.
In 2025, this Camar pro control concept was converted to current electronic components and now offers even more advantages and control precision with the Calmar pro.2 generation.
Variable test fields or quickly configurable application-specific test benches can be equipped with pneumatic and/or electric motor test axes. The system can accommodate more than 6 axes. Auxiliary axes, additional sensors or measuring channels, and various accessories can be flexibly integrated and controlled in the block program of the test software. The results are then fully documented via data recordings and protocols.
In addition to the control concept, a modular system has been developed in which test frames and additional vertical and horizontal profiles can be configured. Depending on the test task(s), extremely variable concepts can be implemented with a wide variety of test options in a very small space, or highly efficient test stations for specific test tasks and high throughput can be implemented, taking laboratory conditions into account. Despite this flexibility, the modular system allows for maximum serviceability and long-term spare parts supply.
The Calmar pro.2 central unit with CalMaster testing software forms the heart of the system. At the core of the central unit is the controller with closed-loop control technology, which is characterized by its high response speed. It can be used to control a defined number of pneumatic and/or electric axes and can therefore be optimally adapted to the respective test application. Newly developed controllers enable controlled execution of test programs with significantly reduced throughput times. The modular architecture allows flexible adaptation to any test task—from simple individual tests to complex multi-axis applications.
The CalMaster testing software was developed specifically for component and furniture testing. The software handles the parameterization and data management of the tests and informs the user about the current status of the system. External measurement channels, such as temperature or noise sensors, as well as auxiliary axes (e.g., actuators) can be flexibly integrated into the test sequence. In addition to the test software, a hand control with a selector switch for the test axes is used to set up the test task.
