Furniture test rig
Testing of chairs and tables according to DIN EN 1728 and DIN EN 1730
The variable and modular test field of the Calmar series consists of a central control unit and five force/displacement-controlled electromechanical test axes. This allows cyclical service life tests as well as fatigue tests to be carried out on components and furniture.
Control is via the component and furniture testing software CalMaster for complex testing tasks, with the additional module for synchronous multi-axis testing.
The DIN EN 1728 standard specifies the test procedure for determining the strength and durability of seating furniture. DIN EN 1730 specifies the test procedure for determining the stability, strength and durability of tables. Both types of test can be implemented with this test system.
In addition, vehicle seats and furniture for overweight persons (XXL) can be tested. For this purpose, they can be subjected to test loads of up to 6 kN.
Further application examples for this test system:
- Manipulation of folding seats,
- horizontal table testing,
- horizontal static testing of railway seats,
- multi-axis testing of chairs and vehicle seats.
