1. When is a software update necessary?
Hegewald & Peschke programs the testing software in-house and always optimizes it according to market trends and requirements. Consequently, new software versions are continuously generated and delivered. Nevertheless, in our opinion, a software update is only necessary if your requirements demand it. This can be the case, for example, if the operating PC of the testing machine is changed to a new operating system. Our testing software LabMaster can then be easily and comfortably updated with an update. The update can be carried out by remote maintenance or on site. Of course, software updates offer the user not only compatibility with new operating systems but also new possibilities with regard to important functionalities or also in terms of the graphical layout. Hegewald & Peschke always pays attention to downward compatibility. For example, the user can work with the familiar or the new layout. A current software version can equally be applied to an older control system.

2. What is the pricing for updates?
The update price usually corresponds to a three-digit amount and actually depends on the scope of services. Thus, extended software modules and peripherals to be considered have an influence on the costs.
3. How can a new test standard be implemented in LabMaster?

Hegewald & Peschke offers a complete software solution. Specimen data fields, test sequences, test results, measuring channels, units, etc. can be created freely and without additional costs.
If our customers need help with this, our free application support is available.
Thus, new test requirements, normative changes, new recipes and new test standards can be created free of charge and stored as test templates for future use.
4. What do I have to do if a new operating system is to be installed on the test PC?
Please contact our software service and have the serial number of your testing machine ready. In most cases a software update is necessary.
