Since older hardness testers were usually built to be very robust and durable, modernization often makes sense and is less expensive than a corresponding new device, especially if the old device meets the testing requirements. Even heavily used old devices can be refurbished at low cost in many cases.

In addition to refurbishing an older hardness tester, digitalization is also possible. Depending on the device, digital calipers for indentation measurement or hardness values can be transferred.

For this purpose Hegewald & Peschke provides different software solutions. An output in ASCII or csv format is just as possible as the connection of the fully comprehensive HardWin XL hardness testing software with the corresponding evaluation and processing options.
