This universal testing machine Inspekt with a maximum test load of 400 kN can be used for bending and tensile tests on reinforcing steel. The test system comprises a universal testing machine Inspekt with two test chambers: a main test chamber for test loads up to 400 kN and a lateral test chamber for test loads up to 200 kN, a 3-point bending device 250/100 DIN 488 and a hydraulic clamping device. Both test rooms can be equipped with a protective enclosure.
Reinforcing steel is used to reinforce concrete and is used when concrete not only has to withstand high compressive loads, but also tensile and bending forces.
In the main test room tensile tests can be carried out on flat and round metal and reinforcing steel specimens, but shear tests can also be carried out on welded reinforcing steel meshes.
With the 3-point bending device in the lateral test space, reinforcing steel can be tested after the so-called reverse bending test according to DIN 488. This test serves to verify the bending capability of the reinforcing steel. The specimens must be bent at a minimum angle of 90° and then bent back by at least 20°. After the bending test, the specimen must not show any fractures or cracks.
The test software LabMaster is available for the determination and evaluation of the test results. The necessary test accessories are put together depending on the planned tests.
