Tensile test on metal according to DIN EN ISO 6892-1 up to 100 kN

Universal testing machine inspekt table 100 kN

  • Industry: Metal and steel industry

In the metal tensile test, a clamped specimen is loaded with increasing tensile force F and deformed by an extension ΔL until it finally breaks. Important characteristic values such as the tensile strength, the yield or elongation limit and the elongation at break are determined, which are crucial for the quality assurance of materials and components.

The test conditions for the tensile test on metallic materials at room temperature are defined in the standard DIN EN ISO 6892-1. The standard sets out clear guidelines for conducting tests, determining characteristic values, evaluating and reporting such tests. The aim of the standard is the exact determination of the characteristic values under the same test conditions so that the characteristic values are always comparable.

The inspekt table 100 kN tensile testing machine can be used to test simple steels with standard specimen geometries. The inspekt table testing machine series is characterized by high reliability and flexibility. The mechanical design of the machines ensures precise force transmission, high lateral force stability and outstanding axial rigidity. The innovative control electronics impress with their modularity and high control precision.

The tensile testing machine is equipped with a wedge clamping fixture and the MFA clip-on extensometer. Wedge grips provide a strong and reliable holding force. Due to the wedge principle, the greater the gripping force increases with the tensile load, the greater the contact pressure. This ensures that the specimen is held firmly in place during the tensile test and does not slip. The clamping fixtures are versatile and suitable for different materials and specimen shapes thanks to the use of different clamping jaws. The tensile specimens are easily clamped in the wedge grips by operating a lever.

The MFA clip-on extensometer also offers quick and easy handling for the metal tensile test. It is used to determine the modulus of elasticity and the elongation and yield strengths and guarantees maximum operational reliability and a long service life even under harsh operating conditions.

This user-friendly testing system achieves high measuring accuracy in the uniform strain range, which makes it particularly suitable for materials that are prone to deformation fractures.

The user-friendly universal material testing software LabMaster enables the configuration of a standard-compliant test sequence, the integration of external devices and data import and export.

The inspekt 1200 kN tensile testing machine is another testing system that is suitable for metal tensile tests with test loads of up to 1200 kN.
