Testing of solar cells and solar modules

The demands on the durability and performance of solar cells, solar modules and photovoltaic systems are high. In order to fulfil these requirements despite falling prices and increasing sales figures due to high competitive pressure, it is essential to test products quickly and accurately. Important test methods include peel tests, bending tests and impact tests.

Peel tests:

Peel tests are used to test the adhesive strength of materials, in particular the bond between the protective layer and the underlying layers of the solar cell.

Bending tests:

Bending tests test the mechanical strength and flexibility of solar modules. They are important to ensure that the modules can withstand mechanical loads such as wind and snow.

Impact tests:

The impact test evaluates the resistance of solar modules to sudden mechanical impacts, such as hailstorms or falling branches.

Hegewald & Peschke offers you several test systems for solar cells and solar systems with which you can carry out tests under simulated everyday environmental conditions. We develop customised test solutions for you that allow you to reliably carry out load tests even without existing test guidelines and standards. This allows you to ensure that your solar modules and solar cells can withstand the high demands and stresses of daily use. This helps to maximise the efficiency and service life of the solar systems and increase the security of your investment.
