Determination of ring stiffness in pipes according to DIN ISO 9969
Universal testing machine inspekt duo with incremental displacement sensor
Hegewald & Peschke offers a special testing system with an incremental displacement sensor for the precise determination of the ring stiffness of plastic pipes in accordance with ISO 9969, which is used, for example, on the inspekt duo universal testing machine.
The displacement sensor is manually inserted into the pipe using a holder and attached to the underside of the upper pipe wall. This allows the deformation of the pipe during loading to be measured precisely – a cost-effective alternative to long-stroke extensometers or cable pull transducers.
Stable compression plates are used for the pressure test, which load the pipe during the test in accordance with standards.
The system is suitable for measurements in the elastic range and is supplied with two sensors for different pipe diameters. The initial diameter of the pipe is determined manually in advance.
Advantages at a glance:
- Precise measurement of internal deformation
- Easy handling and manual placement in the pipe
- Two sensors for different pipe diameters
- Cost-effective alternative to special measuring systems
- Standard-compliant loading using pressure plates
