Testing of Raised Access Floors according to DIN EN 12825
Component Testing Machine inspekt vario 250 kN
With the inspekt vario 250 kN component testing machine, you can carry out standard-compliant testing of raised access floors and their individual components according to DIN EN 12825 – including both component testing (floor panels, pedestals with central or eccentric loading) and system testing (complete assembly consisting of pedestals, pedestal heads and floor panels).
Testing Procedures
- Floor Panels: Determination of deflection under central loading using freely positionable displacement transducers (measuring range 50 mm) mounted on magnetic bases.
- Pedestals: Compression testing of centrally and eccentrically loaded pedestals – supported by lateral bracing elements that can be flexibly mounted to the guide columns.
- System Assembly: Complete testing of fully assembled raised floor structures under high loads and with large test setups (test space height up to 2,500 mm).
Machine Features & Benefits
- 250 kN compression capacity for a wide range of testing tasks
- Modular bracing and clamping system for eccentric loading scenarios
- Large test area (test space height of 2,500 mm) for full floor system testing
- Precise displacement and force measurement via transducers, load cell, and the LabMaster testing software
Raised Access Floors according to DIN EN 12825
Raised floors are used in interior construction. They consist of modular components (pedestals, pedestal heads, and panels) that form a composite surface once assembled on-site. The resulting cavity beneath the floor surface is used for technical installations (e.g. ventilation, heating, electrical, and other systems). Thanks to the modular design, easy access to the underfloor space is possible at any point.
The inspekt vario 250 kN testing machine enables reliable evaluation of the load-bearing capacity, deflection, and stability of raised access floor systems – efficient, reproducible, and fully compliant with DIN EN 12825.
