Toughness testing (KIC) on steels in the low temperature range
Universal testing machine inspekt 400kN
With the aid of tensile and bending tests, the fracture toughness values (KIC) are determined. The maximum nominal load is 400 kN at a minimum test speed of 10 µm/min. Here, the testing machine is driven via horizontal threaded spindles. Moreover, the nitrogen refrigerated chamber enables tests in the temperature range between -150 °C and +250 °C. The software LabMaster is featured with a convenient module: KIC tensile testing and bending test in accordance with ASTM E 399.
