Automated test cells for tensile tests

The majority of the automated testing systems realized by Hegewald & Peschke are used for tensile tests. The centerpiece usually consists of a handling system based on industrial robots. The entire testing process is controlled and monitored by the universal material testing software LabMaster. A remote diagnostics system ensures the required high availability of the systems.

Hegewald & Peschke has already built various different automated test centers. These are each adapted to specific customer requirements. Among other things, they differ in the load level of the universal testing machine used, the grips and the various measuring devices for the specimens.

Basic components of automated testing systems for tensile tests

The automated testing systems for tensile tests from Hegewald & Peschke include various assemblies that can be put together with different components depending on customer requirements.

  1. Specimen supply and handling (specimen supply, robot, intermediate storage)
  2. Specimen identification, alignment and measurement
  3. Specimen testing (tensile testing machine, grips, extensometer)
  4. Specimen disposal (sorted/unsorted)
  5. System control (LabMaster testing software, touch panel with PLC)

Automated metal tensile test up to 250 kN

Automated testing system with universal testing machine and robot

This testing system is based on the proven basic principle of Hegewald & Peschke's automated testing systems and enables the efficient processing of up to 250 specimens within 8 hours. Equipped with a pneumatically operated specimen holder, which was specially developed by H&P for automated applications, it ensures precise and fast handling of shoulder specimens and thus significantly increases productivity.

Automated test cell for metal tensile tests on reinforcing steel

Universal testing machine inspekt 250 kN with robot

This automated test cell for tensile tests on reinforcing steel and wire specimens consists of a 250kN universal testing machine with hydraulic fixtures from Hegewald & Peschke, a robot, a specimen recognition station, a sample rack and a scrap container. The cross-section determination during the tensile test is carried out by means of a scale and a length measuring system.

Fully-automated metal tensile test up to 1200 kN

Automated testing system with universal testing machine and robot

The automated test centre from Hegewald & Peschke offers high test speeds, operator-independent evaluation and automatic recording of test results. The core of the system is a universal testing machine of the type inspekt.
