Long distance extensometers
In the field of tactile strain measurement, Hegewald & Peschke sells long distance extensometers as fine strain and/or coarse strain measurement systems. These extensometers are in direct mechanical contact with the specimen and can be used to measure extension up to breakage. Depending on the type, the devices have a high measuring resolution of up to 0.01 µm. They are applied manually or automatically before the start of the test and are used to determine elastic parameters, yield strengths, proof stresses, uniform elongation and elongation at break.

- Various cutting systems possible (round/angular, carbide, blunt, rubberized)
